GTA 6 Price: Standard vs. Ultimate Edition, Pre-Order Bonus and the Box Without a Disc

GTA VI has a price, two editions and a box that does not contain the game. Here is what you pay, what you get, and what to watch out for before November 19, 2026.

The short version

• Standard Edition: $79.99 in the US, €79.99 in Germany.
• Ultimate Edition: $99.99 in the US, €99.99 in Germany. Digital only.
• Pre-order bonus: the Vintage Vice City Pack, for everyone who pre-orders or buys before November 20, 2026.
• Physical copies: contain a download code, not a disc. On sale from November 12.
• Platforms: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version has been announced.

Prices at a glance

Take-Two announced the prices on June 24, 2026. Pre-orders opened a day later, on June 25, at midnight local time. Regional prices differ, so check your store. A Canadian price of $110 that went around in headlines is in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.

What the Ultimate Edition adds

Rockstar's edition page lists the extra content of the Ultimate Edition. Fan guides that summarize that page count 16 items, among them extra vehicles and shops that only open in this edition. Rockstar has not announced any early access for the Ultimate Edition, so it does not let you play sooner.

Most buyers are going for it anyway: Sensor Tower estimates that around 89% of pre-orders are for the Ultimate Edition, as reported by GamesIndustry.biz in August.

The pre-order bonus

Everyone who pre-orders, or buys before November 20, 2026, gets the Vintage Vice City Pack. According to Rockstar Support, it contains:

• a '55 Vapid Stanier with a garage,
• outfits and hairstyles,
• a weapon pattern.

Digital pre-orders also come with one free month of GTA+.

Why the box has no disc

Physical copies of GTA VI contain a download code instead of a disc, on both PS5 and Xbox. They go on sale on November 12, the same day digital pre-loading starts. Stores only sell the Standard Edition. If you want the Ultimate Edition, you buy it digitally. Rockstar also lists a "Vice City Collection" box on its website for collectors.

Is $80 a lot?

For years, $70 was the ceiling for big games. Nintendo broke it in 2025 with Mario Kart World at $79.99. GTA VI is now at the same level, and the Ultimate Edition goes to $99.99. Measured by hours, it will still be one of the cheapest games you buy this year. Measured by your wallet in November, it is not.
